Prime Time? Rockford Fosgate Prime R1200.1D Amp Dyno Test

Rockford Fosgate has been a leader in automotive amplifier technology since the 1980's. Their budget series, called Prime, offer many of Rockford's technologies in a price-conscious package. Today we are looking at the most powerful Prime amp, the 1200 watt monoblock R1200.1D.

The R1200.1D is rated to deliver:
400 watts RMS at 4 ohms
800 watts RMS at 2 ohms
1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm

Rockford promises their amplifiers are rated using CEA standards and the Prime series "typically" deliver 10-15% more than rated. Oh yeah? Let's see if this is da truf or is somebody blowin' smoke....
